Self Portrait Kings Road

Walking into this store is comparable to walking into another world, arriving to a green terrazzo concrete flooring, matched with a thick carpet in the same tone, covering the ground floor to great effect. Looking up from the floor you are met with a cross sectional white suspended ceiling, with the spotlighting tucked away behind to shine through. In the middle of these two spaces, the walls surrounding the shop floor are finished in either Green Clay, Brushed Stainless or Mirrors.

Various Polished steel hanging rails are positioned around the store to provide ample display space for this high-end fashion designer.

To try garments on, there are four separate changing rooms, two are positioned on the ground floor, one of which being a 3 meter tall room with floor to ceiling mirrors on every wall and a single full height, mirror backed door. Every fitting room gives you a full view around and have installed feature wall lights.

A third small room sits on the ground floor, used for packing items, we manufactured a fitted work space with accompanying storage room for the staff to use.

As you walk down the stairs, you are met by a huge mirror feature, known as 'The Crucifix' for its cross shaped design, this piece was positioned right over the staircase, comprised of our frame, 8, 3 meter tall mirrors and brush stainless trims. This alone makes the shop feel like its much bigger.

A further two display units were fitted, one on the ground floor, floating shelves finished in brushed stainless, mirrors and lighting to add dimension.

In the basement the display was inset to the clay wall, finished in the same as the last.

There was so much going on with the design of this project, so many textures, finishes  and colours, it was really difficult to imagine the end result. This project was great to be a part of.
